The Phoenix Flow Reactor™ is a user-friendly reactor that is designed for high temperature and high-pressure reactions. It enables the synthesis of novel compounds in a parameter space that is not achievable with standard laboratory equipment. The versatility of this flow reactor allows you to create a reaction system that suits your chemistry needs the best. This reactor system allows for reactions to be performed in a loop homogeneously or with a range of different cartridges heterogeneously.
This contains just the Phoenix Flow Reactor™ which can be used as a module of the H-Cube ProTM for cylinder-free hydrogenation and other heterogenous catalytic reactors at a temperature range of up to 450°C and much more. The flow reactor when connected to the H-Cube ProTM makes it possible to set up a system that can perform single or double-step reactions in a series as well as monitor and control the whole process using the H-Cube Pro™ interface.
This contains the Phoenix Flow Reactor™, Pressure Module™ and HPLC pump for liquid-liquid or solid-liquid reactions. The HPLC pump can deliver the starting material solution into the system that can be set to a desired temperature and pressure. This starting material then enters a selected reaction zone which can be a loop, a CatCart®, a MidiCart™ or a metal-metal sealed column filled with catalyst which is where the reaction takes place. The product is then collected in a collection vial.
The system contains Phoenix Flow Reactor™, Pressure Module™, Gas Module™, Control Module™, and the HPLC Pump. This system can be used for reactions in gas-liquid phase, with or without a catalyst. The gas comes from a high-pressure source and is introduced into the Gas Module™ which ensures accurate dosage of the gas. The HPLC Pump then introduces the liquid into the system and the gas and liquid are mixed within the gas-liquid mixer. The gas-liquid mix then enters the heated and pressurised reaction zone which can be a loop, a CatCart®, a MidiCart™ or a metal-metal sealed column filled with catalyst and then the reaction takes place. The final product is then collected in a collection vial.
The HPLC pump is a 10 mL/min or 50 mL/min capacity unit with built-in pressure sensor (inlet pressure sensor). It is recommended to have an extra HPLC pump if multiple inlets are needed for the application.
This module generates the pressure in the reaction chamber and contains a system valve, pressure sensor and a 3-way valve to set the outlet. There is a maximum pressure of 200 bar with 300 bar available as a custom request.
This module gives control and visualization of the records of any connected modules via a touch screen. The automatic control of the parameters for the whole system plays an essential role in safety.
When this module is connected to the flow reactor, it introduces gases such as hydrogen, carbon monoxide, oxygen, syngas and many more. There are 14 different gases that can be used up to the 100-bar pressure, or any gas which characteristics are under the safety parameters of the system, widening the reactors capabilities. It is possible to use more than one of these modules to mix more than one gas at the same time.
