The spectrophotometer UV/Vis, with a bandwidth of 5 nm (Biowave 3) or with a higher resolution bandwidth of 3 nm (Biowave 3+), has pre-programmed methods for nucleic acid quantification (DNA, RNA and oligonucleotides), protein assays (BCA, Biuret, Bradford and Lowry), cell culture density (OD600) measurements and Tm calculations.
