EUGON LT 100 Broth is an enrichment medium designed to increase the initial microbial population. It contains specific ingredients that neutralise inhibitory substances present in the sample, such as lecithin and polysorbate 80, as well as dispersing agents like Ecosurf.

The pancreatic digest of casein and papainic digest of soya bean, obtained through enzymatic hydrolysis of casein and soya proteins, provide nitrogen, vitamins, minerals, and amino acids essential for the growth of a wide variety of microorganisms. Glucose serves as the primary carbohydrate source, while the papainic digest of soya bean also supplies natural sugars that support bacterial growth.

Sodium chloride provides essential electrolytes for nutrient transport and osmotic balance, while sodium sulphite neutralises aldehydes. Lecithin and polysorbate 80 counteract inhibitory substances within the sample, and Ecosurf functions as an effective dispersing agent.
