SCAT Pressure relief valve for SafetyCaps, with integral air filter.

The valve opens when the HPLC pump extracts solvents, and enables air flow into the bottle - this prevents vacuum or underpressure inside the bottle. As soon as the pump stops, the membrane immediately seals properly and blocks solvent vapours. Since the filter membrane absorbs contaminants from the surrounding air in order to protect your solvents, it is necessary to replace the valve every 6 months for constant performance.
